This is the best, most reliable Asian Restaurant in the South Morang / Mill Park area. Good size serves and great quality. Very friendly staff, too. a bit of a distance for me to travel, but not often i go to this far.

Food is always fresh and tasty and the staff are very friendly,place is very clean & its a very comfortable place to dine.Would highly recommend this place.

Ok place for various asian/chinese dishes. Have found the food tasty here on the occasions I have been and servings ok size and were delivered hot and steaming. Prices are average not too little or much (beef/chicken/pork $12-$13 seafood $17).

We had dinner from here last night and OMG i have never had such a bad meal. We got so called crispy skin chicken with Plum sauce. It was a bbq chicken hacked up with all the bones still in and some sauce poured over the top there was no crispy skin to this at all and this was not plum sauce. The Roti bread came in a brown paper bag and was just 1 big lump of bread we couldnt even seperate it. HORRIBLE and never again. Dont waste your money or your time.

I have dined at this restaurant on many occasions and we always enjoyed our meals as they were good size, delicious and lots of flavour.

There is a good variety of chinese and malaysian dishes including rice, noodles, pork, chicken and soups on the menu.

Service on each time has been excellent with friendliness and speedy service.

However last time I attended this restaurant, my mum and I were not impressed at all. Firstly we arrived for lunch and the restaurant was very quiet and we quickly ordered our meals. We waited 30 minutes for our meals to arrive and to find them cold!

I politely told the waitress sorry my roast bbq pork & vegies served with fried rice is cold and I cannot eat it. Secondly my mum ordered noodles and specifically asked for seafood only had chicken in it, and we sent it back to the kitchen

We ate our meals which were okay but nothing special.

We did however note that other diners who had arrived after us received their meals within 10 minutes of ordering and their plates were piping hot as you can see the steam.

The cook/chef did apologize as did the waitress making up an excuse that he was very busy (which was not the case as there was only a few other patrons at the time).

Disappointed at this last dining experience ... had this occurred the first time I attended this restaurant, I would not have returned. in saying this ... i am not sure that i am inclined to go back for a meal after this not so good meal.

Enjoy eating at Kawanku. Food is tasty and take is quick. The previous Thomastown address was hidden away in an industrial street and place was a bit dated but this is place is trendy and updated.

we had a very pleasant and friendly experience we have been customers of this business when they were in Thomastown and we followed them over to Mill Park

Really disgusting food it was overcooked. We had honey chicken and it had no sauce it was so dry the sauce was non existent and chewy, also had cantonese steak which was just a container of onions with maybe 7 pieces of steak if lucky and rice was awful. The prawn crackers didnt taste anything like prawn crackers it was the worst chinese/malaysian i have ever eaten. Very dissappointing. Restaurant looked dirty also i definately dont recommend.
