CALLED IN HERE FOR A MEAL WHILE STAYING OVERNIGHT IN KARUAH GOOD FOOD AND DECENT SERVING VERY WELL RUN CLUB CAME BACK HERE ON OUR TRIP HOME WOULD RECCOMMEND

I recently visited the dining area in Karuah RSL one weekend with a large group as I was in the area with my family after a family occasion. It was a cold rainy day with bad weather so I think this may be why it was very busy when I arrived there. Almost all the tables looked to be taken. There was a bit of a wait for the food to come out, but since we had a big group this was to be expected. However when I ordered a coffee they said they would bring it to my table, but after quite some time it appeared they had forgot and when I went to the counter to see what was happening with my coffee I found out that they had forgotten about it and so they started making it then and I collected it myself. Although the service wan't particularly prompt that day I think they were just more busy than normal and understaffed as there were lots of customers and I only spotted two or three staff members. The previous time that I had eaten there at a trivia night some months earlier I recall the food came out promptly and it wasn't near as busy as this weekend was. The staff were friendly though and apologetic about forgetting my coffee. As for the food it was satisfactory, I ordered a chicken burger and some chips, i think it had a schnitzel type of patty, and it was tasty and filling. The menu wasn't overly creative, there was just your typical kinds of club meals, plus a few Asian dishes. Most of the rest of the people in our group ordered Asian dishes like chow mein or combination type dishes and they all enjoyed theirs and said they tasted nice. The serving sizes of their meals was of a decent generous size too. I was impressed for an RSL club in such a small town that they had expresso coffee and a range of different meal options, there was more selection than most other small clubs that I have been to.
