Petra & Chris have a true passion for animals and this is evident at K9 River Retreat. I had to board my dog urgently due to family issues and found K9 River Retreat via Google search. Well I'm very happy that I found them as I couldn't thank them enough for the care, love and attention they gave my Jazz. She's a rescue dog and whilst an extremely social and happy girl, she does fret a little if I leave her. Petra and Chris really put my mind at ease with updates and photos on how she was doing. I certainly did not need to worry as I could see she was in great hands with them. The setup is amazing with no kennels but high fenced big yards and access to their own house with choice of bedrooms that have couches, doggy bean bags and heaps of toys. On dropping her off she was a little timid but took to Petra and Chris immediately which to me is a good sign. I would definitely recommend K9 River Retreat to anyone and will be using them going forward whenever I travel! So glad I found them :-)

K9 offers a lovely location and great set-up, but what really makes the place are the owners. I felt they treated my dog not just like another animal but like he was their own. Pancho had a great time and made plenty of four legged and two legged friends. I would recommend K9 to anybody looking for a caring place for their pooch.
