John is great at listening to me and everything he has done in making me a financial roadmap then helping me do it all was really attuned to my needs and life.
He worked on reducing my super fees, investing for my kids, making sure I had some precautions in place if I die as I am a single mum, making sure I was saving diligently but also that I made sure to spend something on myself not just the kids and saving/investing.
I originally only contacted him about helping my parents who were worried about retiring but he has ended up helping me with my finances. I love having him there as someone on my side for not just the normal super, investing, tax items but last year, he even did some role-play with me over a job interview as I was worried about being out of practice.

John has been great for us. We were impressed by his instant knowledge on areas we needed advice on. We thought we knew quite a lot as I was an accountant before joining the public service. Because of that I am quite technical minded but he has really showed me a lot of things I never considered as ways to improve how we manage things, especially as I have a PSS account and investment properties so there was some long term tricks I had never thought of that we needed to adjust for now to make sure we didn't over pay on tax.

John has helped me for many years now. When I first saw him I had another financial planner but they just sent me updates in the post. I was worried about if I had enough to retire on as I was tired of working. John really took the time to listen about my life and my family. He walked me through how retirement would work and showed me some examples of how far my money would go. The other planners never did this for me before. After that, he has helped me with so much to make sure I could take advantage of the rules and he even encouraged me to spend more which I was too stressed to do before. I wish I had seen him 10 years sooner.
