Would have to be the worst experience with a removalist ever, even including the time a company didn't turn up. Arrived 2 hours late, paid no attention to the labels on the boxes (particularly the Fragile labels), the truck sent was too small, the two men were ill-mannered and inexperienced, one threw cigarette butts all over the lawn. To top it all off, they tried to overcharge me, and refused to take my mattress off the truck unless I paid the extra fee they added on. An utter shambles, and a deeply unpleasant experience. Best avoided at any cost.

I had the WORST experience with "Jake Removals" today, a heads up for anyone moving - DO NOT waste your time, I would never recommend them!! We had booked Jake Removals for this afternoon at 2pm. I had organised for a friend to mind my son, as I was almost there to drop him off before the move, I got a call from the owner to say the men would be an hour or so late. That was understandable that some jobs run later, and he confirmed they would arrive shortly after 3:30pm. I ended up just bringing him home as they wouldnt arrive for another 2 hours. Me and my husband waited around from 2:30pm to ensure we were home when they arrived. It got to about 4:15pm and I had heard nothing, so I called the owner he said he would ring the men again and call me back. He then messaged me and told me they would be about 45 minutes. At this point I was a bit disappointed as there had been no courtesy call to let me know of te further delay. It got to 5pm and still there was no sign of the removalists, so again I called to find out how far away they were. At this point he was very rude and was telling me he was doing a favour by calling his employees for me. It was already 3 hours past the original booked time, and I was the one calling as I had not been paid the common decency of a courtesy call. The owner ended up yelling at me and telling me to find another removalists. I found his attitude to me as a customer absolutely disgusting, and we then had to book a new company for Sunday.

We hired Jake fast removals to move our 2bd flat, they were careful and fast. Our new place has stairs and they got everything in and nothing was damaged or marked. Will definitely be hiring these guys again when we move.
