Well we had a fabulous weekend - extended at Illowra 18 of us in all stayed for a wedding close to Illowra and then had the rest of the weekend to lazy around and enjoy the property and the area. We all said what a great house it was and the pool - gas heated - you know some claim to be but this really was heated - was just brilliant - the tennis court and table tennis were in sue all weekend too!! Great place great value - we loved it!! The lady organising it too was just a pleasure to work with too

This is a beautiful old renovated home that is perfect for large groups of up to 20 people, huge well appointed kitchen, great conservatory, wonderful heated pool and spa, tennis court and plenty of bedrooms and plenty of privacy. From the website you would be forgiven for thinking this is out in the country somewhere, but in fact it is walking distance from Nowra and right next to the Highway.. BUT.. when your in the house and grounds you would never know because it is well protected by beautiful mature tree's. A wonderful place for a family reunion. When you get the list of rules, you can be forgiven for a huge intake of breath, but in reality there are no rules that are not just a matter of respect. I highly recommend this place for a holiday, bring your bikes and take advantage of the many bike trails very close to the house that take you across the river. Nowra hasn't got much in the way of interesting shops, but it is a short drive to the beautiful (but overpriced) Berry if you want to indulge in wonderful shops and cafe's. Also not far from the Arthur Boyde property where you can take a tour around the grounds and see the wonderful art works from the Boyde family. You can give the Nowra markets at the race track a miss, unless you want plants. Great selection of plants at good prices, but not much else of any quality, and prices not great considering what they have on offer, which isn't much. Perhaps it will be better in summer? or Spring when tourisim is probably better.
