The second you walk in you can smell the delicious food in the air. A lovely atmosphere and excellent food, one of the loveliest Italian places in the area. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

the place is bigger than i expected, it's got a tiny front (with the old bricks which reminds me of a fireplace or an old cottage) but oddly enough it was quite roomy inside, but cozy as well

bit dark, but it kinda gave that old quaint feeling i guess

staff were amazing and prompt, a bit more sophisticated and more fine dining (but the prices were quite reasonable)

the food focused more on flavour than on serving, but i was still fullish after dinner which was good (just right)

Went to Il Cantuccio last evening. As always everything was spot on! There's something about the place that is unpretentious and welcoming. It's like having dinner with family, where extras are brought out gratis and special care is taken to make feel special. And the homemade grappa, gratis, was most appreciated. The bottle of water was brought out to us and unlike most restaurants these days, the waitress poured our drinks which was very nice for a change!
She was very helpful in choosing a course from the menu and all food was brought out quickly.
You could tell the meals were prepared with care and the food was absolutely delicious!!
Dessert was ordered and we were even given two complimentary glasses of port with our chocolate mousse.

In summary, a WONDERFUL dining experience which has made this restaurant one of my favourites and I will definitely be coming back :D

went there for lunch with 2 friends. I found the place to be a little dark inside. I don't particularly like the decor. service was good, food was nice. nothing to rave on about though
