Hello, my name is Hugh!

I have been professionally involved with food for over 25 years. During my journey I have travelled across three continents to learn the local cuisine and exchange ideas with other chefs. I am now combining my experience, knowledge and passion into simple and tasteful dishes.

During this time I have set up restaurants, represented large multinational companies, managed large catering operation’s and always working towards growing brands and companies that were never my own.

Hence when we, my wife and I decided to open our own restaurant, we had to choose a name and the choice was obvious. Under my dubbed family name, the brand name of ‘Hughies’ evolved. We made a promise to deliver a family friendly environment, an intimate experience, with a focus on Great Food, Great Taste and all at a Great Price!

We welcome you and your family into Hughies, and encourage you to feel at home. We can assist you in choosing a dish and trust you will enjoy it as much as I will enjoy cooking it for you.

I have eaten here a few times now with my partner, love it! They have a huge variety to choose from, haven't been let down once. Pretty good value for money, especially for the sizes of the meals.
Will be bringing my family and friends in the future.

I could not recommend Hughies more highly. Took the family there for dinner and the whole experience was perfect from the moment we walked in the door. Friendly, helpful staff, great atmosphere and the food was to die for. We each ordered what we felt like at the time but ended up passing our plates around trying a bit of everything and it was all superb. Thank you for our dinner that turned into an impromptu (and fun) tasting session, we'll be back for sure!
