Absolutely the BEST Chinese in Adelaide. Dine in or take away, the food is always amazing! I drive 15kms to get take away from here! Roz Chow is always warm and welcoming and happy to recommend dishes for your group. A beautiful restaurant with fantastic decor and an awesome aquarium! Fresh fish on premises too at market prices for the utmost freshness! Highly recommended

They really know how to cater for the Westerner's brand of Chinese food. Still, the people that run it are Asian, so if you need something more traditional, they'll be able to recommend and assist

This was our 1st visit to the House of Chow and I see why this restaurant has won quite a few awards.
Not normally open for lunch on a Sunday, they made an exception for Mothers Day today and people certainly took advantage of that, as it was totally booked out!
It has a large ground floor dining area, with a small private room, that caters for up to 20 people. There is also seating for 50 people upstairs and an outside covered area that smokers can use. They have thought of everything.
The staff were very friendly and despite it being so busy, we still didn't have to wait long for our food. Extremely impressed! The mixed entrée (Spring Roll, Chicken and Ham Roll and a Prawn Sesame Toast) was served with a Hoisin sauce. Just lovely. Mum had the Prawn Fritters and said they had a nice, thin batter and were beautiful. For the mains, I had the Pepper Chicken, which was just divine, while the others shared Sweet and Sour Pork, along with Peking Duck - both were cooked to perfection and to top it off, the fried rice was exquisite. Way too full for desert but 1 guest lashed out and got a Brandy Snap Basket - full of fresh fruit and cream. Yummy. A well set out restaurant, with friendly and attentive staff and beautiful food. Prices are a little higher than normal but it is in the city and the quality makes paying the extra worthwhile. Parking can be tricky with only a few spots right out the front and the side streets would be your best option on Friday and Saturday Nights. Check out their website .... http://www.houseofchow.com.au - Highly Recommend.

Delicious food! I've been here several times now and never leave disappointed or hungry! The staff are professional. I went for Chinese New Year once (book early!) and it was a fun and entertaining experience

Still just your usual Westernised take on Chinese food. I wouldn't say it's bad, because it's not. They have continued to make the same things throughout the many years and honed these particular dishes. Perhaps it's because Chinatown isn't that far away, so there's plenty of competition from places that serve the more authentic stuff. And they sometimes do look a little tired...

For me, I'd give this one a miss

Everytime we go, we can't believe we don't go more often!!
Not your usual chinese Resturant. They have some really original dishes. Like the entree of Stuffed Chicken Wings. Delicious. Spicy then comes with a sauce that will make your eyes water!! Husband can't get enough!! Peking duck occording to my hubby is the best! I tend to go for prawns, prawns & more prawns but this time I tasted Peppered Chicken. OMG I don't normally like pepper but this is Devine. Comes in like a creamy pepper sauce & HUGE serving of tender breast fillet. Unbelievable. Always enjoy being treated so nice but we were asked to leave as they needed table due to xmas bookings. Always book ahead. You will never be disappointed.

Approximate cost: $20

I went to House of Chow with a friend. The restaurant is quite big and modern. We ordered Spring Rolls and Thai Chicken soup as Entree, Chicken with Cashew Nuts and Mongolian Lamb as Main. The lamb was great, would be nicer if it was a bit more spicy. The chicken was a bit too sweet for my liking. but overall the good night out.

Approximate cost: $30

Great restaurant have to say some of the best chinese food in Adelaide, went with a group of work mates and the service was great and every dish was beautiful, this is definitely a winner and would recommend to all my friends!
