Its so refreshing to actually deal with a professional within their field. I was looking for a building inspector for a new property i was buying in Melbourne. Ive had several inspection reports done over the years on other properties, and i have to say some of these so called reports were really lacking. This time round i was looking online and started finding information about how there is no formal qualification in the pre purchase inspection industry, and basically anyone can build a fancy website and call themselves are inspector. I just cannot believe there is no governing body over seeing this industry considering people like myself are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on purchasing a home without knowing if we have hired one of these so called inspector who seem to be either plumbers, electricians or even just pest controllers. Anyway thats what i researched before hiring Geoff from House Inspections Melbourne. This guy is one of the most professional and knowledgeable experts in property construction industry ive had dealings with. Geoff was absolutely superb... He arrange the inspection with the agent, provided my report the same day he inspected the property. We also spoke on the phone for over a hour discussing the report in detail and the potential costs i would be looking at for certain repairs require. But that's not all, after i took possession of the property Geoff came out and had a cup of coffee with me where he further adviced me on additional renovations i want to do, what costs i would be looking at, and even suggested some trades i should be calling. All of this additional service for no charge, even though i tried to give him money he just blatantly wouldn't accept it. . So i basically had two call outs and two inspections for the price of one. Yes this is a long review, but i just had to spend the time and make it know that this guys and is company House Inspections Melbourne is a pro.
