Great venue for a drink with colleagues after work or with friends or family or a romantic night out. Restaurant serves great variety of meals. Value for money. Staff super friendly. Splurge yourself with cocktails for a girls night or hens night a must. Have dined there and enjoyed a drink quite a few times.

I went for a girls night out. The food was fantastic, the meals are huge and great value for money. Plenty of Gluten free options available... Highly recommend the salt and pepper squid... so yum

Hotel Delany has a great atmosphere - I love to come here for a cheap chicken schnitzel on trivia night (Monday night). The staff are friendly and meals are prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Trivia is always fun! It's also a great place to go on the weekend to hear a band play and have a drink. It's a great place and I'll definitely continue to go here!

Great Food, not to expensive either - Very wide variety of meals on the menu to suit every taste - great for families, parties and functions. The bar area is very open, with lounges and chilled back atmosphere. I Highly recommend The Del' for a great night in town.

Had a great dinner at the Hotel Delany. Since being renovated the restaurant has improved so much. Serving more than just pub food you feel like you are actually at a restaurant with great lighting and atmosphere. The food came cooked to perfection.

Went there for drinks on a Thursday night. Good atmosphere, had meat raffles on with plenty of great looking meat trays (didn't win one unfortunately). Ended up having tea, meal was ok. Nothing special. Service was average, girl behind the bar was sour and unfriendly. Probably wouldn't go back.

Went for dinner. Were left waiting at the table, wondering if we were to get up and order at the counter or not.

Had garlic bread and the steak special with dianne sauce. Steak was cooked as requested, and the sauce was great. The side salad and fries were on the small side compared to other places that do cheaper steak specials.

Atmosphere was very loud and made it impossible to talk to friends at dinner - so much so we elected to go elsewhere for dessert so we were able to chat. ALTHOUGH - it was Wednesday night, which in Newcastle means Uni Student night.

Some interesting additions in decor including see through flooring - although it isnt very attractive down there (not sure if that was considered).

Approximate cost: $15

The Del as been renovated recently. The new menu is a massive improvement. They have fantastic $10- lunch specials on Mon - Thurs and other specials Mon - Wed dinner. Better food than a lot of the near by cafes.

Good food. Just been renovated so is now a very nice place to drink after work, or for a night out. Meals are fresh and very tasty.
