Food is ok, but the major problem for this hotel is the accommodation which is terrible. Noise travels into the rooms from all parts; the neighbouring rooms, the running water, the noisy extraction fans, people walking up and down the hall way, vehicle movements along the alley way out the back, people walking down the alley, and the most disruptive noise from the fire exit which is utilised as an exit point. With its push bar latching mechanism noise thunders through the rooms every time it is operated from the metal on metal contact of the latch and the forceful closing against the door jam.

If you plan on sleeping here, think again. At $110+ a night please do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.

And just when you think it can't get worse, someone goes and sets the fire alarm off at 5am. Great!! I suspect it was caused by someone showering with the bathroom door open and submerging the ceiling mounted smoke alarm with a cloud of moisture and steam.

Argh. Not good when you need to travel the next day. Kinda dangerous actually.

Excellent night out for dinner. Even though the place was packed there was no long waits for food. Definitely would recommend to friends and will dine again next time we are travelling through.

It is not fine dining but it is good value and the portion sizes of meals are VERY generous..if you are not a big eater then one meal between two would be more than enough..Trivia nights on Wednesday are always a lot of fun but make sure you get there early as it is very hard to get a table!

Approximate cost: $10-20

My husband and I took our two small children here. The food is fantastic and really good value $8.50 for a kids meal including a popper and an ice cream. They have a $10 cook your own steak Monday to Thursday lunch and dinner with a jacket potato and salad bar and $12.50 Sunday lunch. They also seem to have really good lunch specials in the front bar like $5 for fish, chips and salad. The meals are still good value at full price. They have A kids room with toys, chairs, TVs and computer games. the staff were friendly and efficient will definitely go here again.

Approximate cost: $16.00

We visited the bistro for lunch. My husband had the $10 'cook your own' steak with salad and potato. My daughter and I ate the fish and prawn pie with roasted vegs. Excellent value.
