Though I have not gotten a position that fits or perhaps of the timing , but Simone Opie was always trying her best to help me out which I truly appreciate.

Do not recommend this business - a complete waste of your time. The Melbourne office is non existent! You phone, email or text and you get nothing! You fill in personal details on line and that's it, nothing happens. NOTHING! Don't bother! Absolutely useless.

I do not recommend Hoban. I applied for an ATO Job advertised on the APS Jobs website where a Hoban email address was the only contact (no contact officer). Sent an email enquiry - no answer. Called Hoban and went through a myriad of transfers and new numbers. Waste of time for candidates, the ATO and the taxpayer.

I have received disgusting treatment at the hands of this job agency. After applying for a Corrections Officer position, going through four stages of a drawn out and arduous interview process (including a 5 hour assessment centre), I did not get the position. This is despite the fact that my performance at the interview stage was apparently good, exemplified by positive responses from Hoban staff on the interview panel. I left the assessment centre with full confidence that I was successful and Hoban Staff gave me every reason to assume such an outcome. The rejection email has left me shocked and disgusted, as I feel I was misled and have wasted a good deal of time as well as other job opportunities I did not pursue because of my impression that I was going to get this job.

Truly despicable treatment and I will not deal with Hoban ever again.

I too have been through Hoban Recruitment. Those that I had dealings with were pleasant, helpful, and efficient. Assessments were done most professionally and in an environment that brought me to feel at ease. Telephone contact was always pleasant and I liked that the person gave straight answers rather than beat around the bush!!!

After registering with Hoban for temporary work, it took 3-4 weeks for them to find me an assignment, which I thought was slightly too long. They had adverts posted on seek.com for immediate starts in the area I wanted, but when I enquired, these were 'dummy' adverts designed to make me register.
I've since been placed in several assignments with them and am happy with the service I am receiving from Hoban and hope to continue to work with them.
