Another impressive european restaurant with a lovely modern decor, good vibe and chilled atmosphere. The sausage platter is a nice variety and was succulent and the belgian mussels were done to perfection.
Great place to come with friends or partner. There is a great deal of mussels on Wednesday, but tables are always fully booked at night. Although the price went up a bit, still worth giving a try.
Great atmosphere too. Although I think the steaks are pretty poor.
great atmosphere with a huge variety of belgian beers, some quite unusual. food is not bad. as with many city pubs it can get crowded at times. one way around this is to book a table for dinner.
I obviously love my beer! Because this place has some believe me. As the name suggests most of the beers are from Belgium so you really need to have an acquired taste for these types of beers. They are strong in taste and alcohol which I love. It's an older building of Sydney which gives it a great ambiance with it's high roof and decor. You'll need plenty of money in the back pocket if you're thinking of staying here for a while. In terms of food the mussels are fantastic! Worth a visit if you are passing by.....cashed up that is!!!
My colleagues always come here on Wednesday for lunch and dinner after work as they have specials on Wednesdays in which all mussels are half price! My favourite is the Poulet sauce which has bacon, lettuces with wine cooked in white sauce, the mussels are very delicious! The restaurant is always fully packed on Wednesday because of the great deal. We never get a table but there are small, tall tables that are right next to the bars if you don't mind. The waitstaff are very efficient, bringing out the chips and sauce quickly. The chips are fried very nicely too!
Approximate cost: $29
We went there mainly for the mussels and there were lots of different options to pick from..mussls in whitewin, mushroom sauce, broth, thai chilli etc. It was really value as the pot came FULL of mussels and it seemed like we never managed to get through of them.
The service was good too, as we had a birthday cake and unlike other places where they left you to cut your cake on your own making a huge mess, they cut up the cakes to serve!
Approximate cost: $32
Simply superb. Excellent food and great beers, lots of choices and some delicious sweet beers.
Yes indeed simply superb, I couldn't have said it better
If you like a beer this will be a paradise for you. They have a huge selection of beers on tap and bottled as well. (Just be ready for a Sydney price though)
Every time we had food it was delicious and the portions were quite large. My favourite are the mussels
Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very nice.
Paradise is a good way to describe it. Thank you I have tried this restaurant because of your rcommendation and that of SebastianWon.
When I first entered this restaurant there was a real buzz but that soon turned into a lot of noise. I think I would not have noticed the noise so much had I been in a bigger party. The food portions are large as you'd expect from the style of cuisine. A treat for beer lovers. Great place for a group night out
If you love sauerkraut and European comfort foods and enjoy trying different beers there's a hugh selection of beers especially from Belgium. The food is good and has large portions and is reasonably priced but not inexpensive. It's a good night out for the food and service and a little reminder of Europe, though be warned its rowdy.
Approximate cost: $38.00
Because of you I went here and it was brilliant Thank you
