Really lovely modern Greek food, which can only be faulted for its tiny portion sizes. The Greek wine was also lovely, but paltry serving sizes especially given the price. The venue is so crammed, and tables are so close together than wine spilled by those sitting next to us also landed on our table and conversations are easily audible. Elbows almost meet. I was just so uncomfortable, that it is unlikely I will return for this very reason.

Hellenic republic in Kew, is essentially the same as the original in Brunswick. The idea is still good quality, reliable greek food, updated in a contemporary style. The only real discernable difference is that the Kew restaurant is a little larger, roomier and therefore somewhat more family friendly.
