I've been going to HBK on and off for about 6 years and these days I won't go anywhere else because the times I have I've been disappointed as the others I've tried just don't live up to what I've experienced at HBK. I've had my hair done in one way or another by most of the staff and they're all excellent. I've gotten to the point now where I pretty much let them decide what to do and I always walk out happy. They're on trend, they care about the health of your hair, their products are good and they're all lovely people. I have to go out of my way to go to the salon and it's not cheap but it's totally worth it.

HBK is by far the best hairdresser I have ever been to, after moving interstate I tried to find a new hairdresser several times, each time I was left disapointed and on occasions my hair damaged. I travel four hours to get my hair done by HBK every 6-8 weeks, I try my best to keep my appointments but the staff are understanding when I have to cancel (and far from rude and snobby) it can take weeks to get back in for an appointment but I take that as a good sign that they are good at what they do! After all theres a reason they are in such high demand!

From the moment I booked the appointment to the moment I left the salon, I was extremely impressed with the service I received. Three lovely young ladies that make your visit memorable. I had a full head of foils, style cut and a princess blow wave done by Kate and let me tell you, she is fantastic! My hair is quite long, very thick and crazy frizzy - HBK stock Kevin Murphy products, well priced LIFESAVERS! I have been to many other salons that stock Kevin Murphy but the time Kate took to actually explain the products to me was what got me. She knew exactly what my hair needed and explained why it was best for me. My experience was so personal, All 3 girls engaged in conversation with myself and the other two clients - I wasn't left in the seat ignored with magazines like I usually would! Highly recommend to anyone!

The other reviews here are suprising, maybe my review would have been the same had I been given the chance ! Unfortunatly I had to walk out before my appointment even began. After cancelling my first appointment due to a change in kindergarten day's for my 4 year old, I had to wait a month for another appointment to put my hair up as a trial for my wedding day (approx $130). On 2 occasions I attempted to show the staff what I wanted done, I was informed that the girl would look at it on trial day & work it out then. I arrived for my appointment which was at 12.45. This time was chosen very specifically (I was assured when making appointment, I would be finished by 1.45 as I had to pick up my daughter from Kinder at 2) however when I arrived the girl ( very young & immature) told me she was running 20 mins late and she would be finished with me by 2.30 I said this was not possible & that I had been very clear about this when booking appointment. She got cranky with me & started very rudely telling me that she had no idea what I wanted done & that it would be rushed in half an hour. Not ONCE did she EVER apologise or bother to ring me before hand to let me know she was late & offer me another appointment time. Clearly she does not have children or understand that you can't just leave a 4 year old alone waiting for their parent ! If hbk can do this for a wedding trial what would have happend on my wedding day !!!! Very very imature and unproffesional, they may do nice hair, but they are snobby & without manners !

I have had several recommendations to check out this salon. I'm pretty picky with my hair but they seem to be building quiet the reputation there so I decided to give them a go and WOW.. they didn't disappoint! Its a gorgeous small salon, I had Kate do my hair and have also had tayla, even though they get really busy ( I had to wait a few weeks until they could get me in after work hours or on a Saturday) I always feel like I'm top priority which is refreshing. .

There are dozens of cheaper hairdressers just down the road, BUT the difference is: these guys know what they're doing!
Great job. Very welcoming and without the inflated prices and egos of equivalent hairdressers in 'better' suburbs.
Highly recommended.

Great salon, very chic & stylish. Kate and Taylor are innovative, bubbly and up with latest styles and trends. Felt very welcomed and comfortable. Plus I made an appointment last minute and Kate came to the salon early to fit me in. Products on offer are well priced. My colour is awesome. I wasnt left sitting in the chair for ages, colour was checked out intermittently which was reassuring. The stylists are young, however Ive had my hair done by stylists with 15yrs+ experience and havent been as happy with my 'do. So glad I found HBK highly recommend cant wait to go back :)

I got a style cut at this place for the first time, very impressed this will be my new place to go. The salon itself is welcoming and pleasant to be in - new, clean and stylish. The hairdressers here are mid-to late twenties which is what I was after, similar age group to me so they would understand better what I want. They listen to what you want and also offer their opinion on what would suit your type of hair. I have not got very fond memories of going to other hairdressers but this was an enjoyable experience.
