Great pub in the city, one of my favourite destinations to go, service is always great and drinks aren't overpriced, great little destination just near the crowne hotel and I always go there. Highly recommended for a place to grab a bight or a drink

We've eaten at the Griffin quite a few times. I think it's our favourite place for pub food in the city. The outside dining is quite nice, the menu has a good selection and the prices are very reasonable. I got the schnitzel which is always a good bar mark for any pub and it was very good, generous serve of sauce and chips. Definitely recommend getting a bite to eat here some time.

The food here is quite pricey however is above average. It would make a great place to "chill" with your friends while having dinner. Not a place I'd go regularly but it's worth a try.

We went to a 21st birthday in one of the private function rooms upstairs. About 60 guests were catered for very comfortably, with a tasty range of finger foods, such as pizza slices & various Asian-style appetizers, served by the waiters. Also a private bar for party guests only, and a large private balcony area with tables and chairs and a nice view over Hindmarsh Square.
The room was nicely decorated and furnished, the acoustics could be a little better, because it was quite noisy and hard to talk, and the temperature was set a bit high inside, a little stifling some of the time (it was a very cold night outside, though).
Overall, a pleasant experience, and a nice place for such a function.

The place has just had a renovation and it looks excellent. This pub has fantastic happy hours on both Friday and Saturday nights. It is a large hotel with different bars so getting served is easy. The meals are reasonably priced and they also taste good.
