Just spent a few nights here and staff were very helpfu and friendly. Had a harbour view room which was breathtaking. Nice room.. maybe a bit dated as the television was woeful. We had buffet breakfast for $31.00 each every morning which was quite nice with a great selection but you have to buy your coffee if you want anything else other than brewed which I thought a bit greedy. Would consider staying somewhere else next time.

I really enjoyed my stay here as the views from my room were fabulous. Good sized room for just one person, very clean and tidy, friendly staff. Found the service at the front desk to be excellent with directions and places to eat as well as see (in my spare time off the clock). Overall, a very nice experience.

Recently spent 2 nights there on a special deal. We had a room overlooking the waterfront, so great views, even though we were not high up. The furniture is a little tired, but the room was a good size, and had a lounge to sit on, which we always appreciate. The service at the front desk was excellent. We didn't eat there so can't comment on food.

I have stayed here a few times on business trips to Hobart. This is one hotel where if you get the choice then it is worth spending the extra and getting a room with views. Wake up in the morning and take in the view across the harbour, you will love it.

Also if you ever catch the red eye into Hobart and arrive around 9.30 / 10.00 then this is about the only place you will get a meal in Hobart on a week night. I think the bistro is open till about 10.30.

we have stayed in this hotel on 3 or 4 occasions and have always received an upgraded room. The package price usually includes a fabulous buffet breakfast. The staff are very helpful. The rooms we get are high up overlooking Hobart Harbour.
