1 review about Govinda's Restaraunt

I've been going to Govinda's for years. It used to be in the city but is now located at the Krishna temple in Kilburn. It's open Fri- Sun only from 5:30-8:30pm.

Note that there are two Le Hunte streets that run between Prospect and Churchill Roads - the restaurant is on the Le Hunte ave closest to Grand Junction road.

The restaraunt is located in the temple and while you don't have to do anything 'religious' or participate in any way, you are asked to respect the temple by taking your shoes off at the door.

The food here is absolutely delightful, healthy vegetarian food. The main courses are always varied, and there are some staples that are always available; rice, lentil soup, salad vegetables, and dessert. The dessert is always the same though the flavours vary and it's super super super super super yum!

Sometimes the restaraunt gets quite busy so you may need to share a table with strangers; if this is a big deal for you maybe come only in the quite times or don't go.

It's served buffet stylel just grab your own plate and cutlery and serve yourself. Help yourself to the water for your table, and please help by placing your dishes in the plastic containers for removal.

Not sold yet? Did I mention Govinda's is an all you can eat restaurant and it only costs $8 per person?

Approximate cost: $8.00
