Avoid this place at all cost, if you don't want your chainsaw become a piece of junk.. and $299 worst off..

I brought in to the store STILH MS170 Chainsaw for repair under warrantly on 16th Dec 2023 issue being difficult starting the Chainsaw. The technician took a quick look and told me that could be an issue with the clutch needs to be replaced under warranty. I received a phone call from the shop a few days later that the Chainsaw can't not be repaired. I came to the store on 20th Dec the service manager told me that the Chainsaw can not be repaired under warranty and the unti itself is a complete write off due to damage housing replacing housing is $180 and with other part is costing more than the new unit. I insisted that the Chainsaw to be put back to the original condition when I brought the unit to the shop, he refused to do so due to safety reason ??? The unit was in a working condition before I sent the unit for repair, the minor issue is difficult starting, in fact I was using it the day before. As a very UNHAPPY and very UNSATISFIED customer I ended up with a non working unit in fact useless metal pieces !!! , I am worst off $299 as I don't have a Chainsaw which I paid for to use. I owned STILH Blower, STILH Grass Trimmer, the reason I bought from STILH was due to its reliabilty and brand name reputation, now I am very much in doubt of the brand !!!

Approximate cost: $299

Although we'd purchased a new brush cutter & blower vac and had our Honda generator serviced from them in the past (so we were very good customers of theirs), we took our 2nd hand ride-on 'John Deer Sabre' into them for servicing. It was working fine when we took it in. Had a phone call a week later to say repairs were blowing out to over $1,000 to get up to scratch and good working order. I wasn't happy but told them to go ahead anyway. Then another week later they rang to say it was blowing out to over $1K to fix. I started to query why when I took it in for a service & it was working? I then had an 'independant professional ride-on mechanic' go out to re-assess the situation. He then told me they had been ripping me off left right and centre and half the stuff didn't need fixing. My independent mechanic saved the day and took the ride-on off them and put it back together. He told me it would have cost me no more than $200 max for a few parts and service. Needless to say I had to still pay $862.00 and it was in bits! As soon as I started quering them, they became defensive and treated me appallingly on the phone. Don't use Gosford Mowers is the moral to this story!

Approximate cost: $862.00
