I don’t think it’s a fair statement as they have not dealt with EVERYONE of their accountants. I’m sure there’s one person they have left out or have not dealt with who is unfriendly and abrupt and unapproachable, he is knowledgeable no doubt.

I feel in my dealings with GM Tax in Melbourne, (late 2016) that I have been totally "ripped off" AU $1800. They advertise they do among other things "set up company in uk" From Australia I have exactly that need. My initial discussion with a [redacted personal identifier] who assured me that my request was fine and a partner who was on business in UK would help me. I gave my whole story to her and she passed it on. I paid the $1800 and when the partner eventually ... got back to me he sent me some "random" appeared copy n paste irrelevant response by email. Telephone conversation ensued he said my request was not doeable because I was asking for something that is not right. I accepted his view. No service to be provided to me ... no refund!! Oh ok so you have my money... and that is my bad luck.

Sorry GM Tax - I can accept you not taking on a job but keeping $1800 for 1 very hasty misguided ineffective "information email" and a brief telephone conversation ... nope based on my dealings and experience its my opinion GM Tax could be more focused on getting money in than providing a service or at least operating with a conscience.

My husband and I have had our taxation returns processed by this company for several years. Their service is always friendly and efficient. They recently provided us with excellent loan advice and assisted us to obtain a loan for a home owner-builder project with the conditions and loan features we required (which we had found difficult to obtain by applying directly through the major banks). The loan was organised quickly and efficiently through a major lender, giving us peace of mind and removing some of the stress associated with owner building!
