No wonder it is believed to be one of the best restaurants in the area, the service, food and drinks were incredible. I had the Gin No Name cocktail which was amazing and shared 4 share dishes and a dessert platter.

Red duck curry with fried corn cakes are the besst... The highlight would have been both the dessert and the service from our waiter. would definitely go back. it's authentic and worth going to try for.

quite a nice twist to a hawker style asian cuisine, just a bit more expensive and fancy

fast service, exotic dishes and late closing times which is always convenient

food is well presented as well

We were excited to try this place and had pretty high expectations. The food was great, but not amazing. Nothing to have to come back for. We were looking forward to the Son and Law Eggs after seeing them on MasterChef and reading all the good reviews. They were ok, loved the sauce, but they felt kind of soggy whereas I was expecting the outside to be a bit more crispy. Cocktails were delicious.

haven't tried their cocktails yet - agreed they a bit overhyped!

Amazing, simply amazing.
service is fantastic while food is just something else. i arrived to find that out of the 12 dishes we all had between us there was not one little complaint about any of it. besides the price being a little hefty, the quality is great and well worth every bit. i will be coming back and bring new friends for them to try.

Approximate cost: $25-56

An above average modern thai restaurant with above average prices. Enjoyable dishes were the son-in-law eggs, whole fried baby snapper & pulled pork with rice noodles. The surroundings were inspired, pleasant and luxe as appropriate to the type of patron which the restaurant hopes to attract. Whilst we enjoyed our experience, it was nothing phenomenal.

I have been to gingerboy a number of times and really enjoy eating here. The food is really delicious and the cocktails so lovely. I recently booked a function at gingerboy for 14 people just before Christmas and the experience on the night as well as during the booking process was above expectations. We had a couple in our group that had very specific and tricky dietary restrictions and the staff handled it perfectly. The chef made the effort to adapt some of the meals to suit our companions as well as catering to everyone else's tastes at the same time. I was very impressed. Our waiter was wonderful too. I would certainly recommend for either a function or dinner with friends. Oh, and the banquets are huge, so you never leave feeling hungry!

that's good how they work around dietary requirements!

Dined here for a late dinner on a saturday night. First thing, the plastic chairs were very uncomfortable to sit on for two hours. The food was pretty good. We had a few entrees and shared a main with a side of veggies and salad.
Of the entrees the son-in-law eggs were my favourite. They were absolutely perfect, I popped the whole egg in my mouth with some of the chilli jam that was with is, and it exploded in my mouth. YUM! we also had the lettuce cups which i found the filling to be far too acidy. The soft shell crab was good, as were the dumplings. The main we ordered was a whole baby snapper, it came out presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. I would go back to try some different things, the staff were very nice and helpful, the atmosphere was nice too.

Approximate cost: $20-50

I had a dinner there with my brother for the first time.. we did not make any reservation so we have to wait for 20 mins at the bar area for the waiter to set a table for us. It was a busy night.. Once our table is ready.. me and my brother were so shock because of the small room to move around.. from 1 table to another is so close.. basically people can hear you conversation very clear. However, the food and service were great and value for money too..
