Bought my birthday cake yesterday at French Patisserie Toowong. I ordered it a week ago and it was ready when I arrived. When I placed my order, the cake decorator himself answered the phone and he was very obliging. He was keen to make sure the cake was exactly what I wanted.

I was not disappointed! The cake was delicious ... fresh, tasty and beautifully decorated. I'd highly recommend French Patisserie for authentic, quality cakes.

Parking is easy outside and the store also offers a large range of French goodies like croissants, macarons, eclairs and more.

Approximate cost: $42

Macaroon here are very nice. Recommend the coconut one, flavorsome and not too sweet. There's also a selection of cakes available which looks great. Reasonable prices.

Approximate cost: $2.5 per macaroon

I got my wedding cake from here, I was disappointed that they took the full payment over the phone 7 weeks before and they told me they were taking half the payment. I only realised when I checked my bank account. The cake was lovely and lasted really well but another disappointing thing was that they didn't have a box big enough to fit it and went out to get one from the fruit shop down the road.

Approximate cost: $100 for cake

I think the cakes here a very pretty, my favourites being the chocolate mud & white chocolate mud cake with the big flowery choc swirls on top. The prices are fairly reasonable also. The only bad thing I have to say is, I was very disappointed finding out upon purchasing a cake that they didn't have a cake box to cater the size of the cake I purchased. For a cake shop that specializes in that particular cake design, one would think they'd have a box to fit it in.

The bread and pastries available from this bakery are wonderful. They make the best croissants I've tasted. They have a good range of birthday cakes and their quiches are really good. The service is mostly very good although I have come across a fairly unfriendly staff member once.

Approximate cost: $7

I have been here a few times, and every time I have found the food and coffee to be really good. The service is mostly good, I got a slightly grumpy girl once, but she was the exception. Usually the staff are very friendly. The prices are reasonable.

This place is a treat, delicious pastries and great coffee. I love to catch up with friends here. We have been customers here for at least 10 years and the standard is as high if not higher! I especially love the double eclairs. mmmmmmmm
