We recently celebrated 21st birthday of our twins in the function room. Our guests are still talking about how great it was!

For $50 a head there was food a-plenty! Started off with Pizza, then pasta, then a main meal (with a choice of two).....beer, wine and soft drinks. We used our own cake for dessert! Magnificent value and food quality was excellent.

Great service with competent, dedicated function staff so we had their total attention (seperate from the restaurant).

Fantastic venue. We were in the seperate building and so it felt like a private function with nothing to do with Fieste. We had 50 guests and it was the perfect sized room. I would not have more than 50 though for comfort reasons. Loved that the function room had its own toilets and also a TV so we simply inserted our USB and photos of the twins were on constant slide show! There was also music in the background which was a bonus.

Plenty of off street parking was great for the guests. Also was fantastic that once all the guests left we could pack up presents etc without us being rushed out the door. Was so nice not having to worry about cleaning up dishes etc.

Tony the manager could not do enough for us in the planning stages. Highly recommended.

Honestly, stress free, fantastic venue. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went to Fieste with our young son for lunch for the first time this weekend. It was a very average experience - in summary - poor service, below average food and a"cash only" surprise at the end.
To start we were seated next to the main door in a nearly empty restaurant. The door kept opening and shutting (mainly due to the large number of smokers congregating right outside the door, which resulted in quite a second hand smoke experience as well). It was quite a cool day and we ended up keeping our coats on to stay warm and tossing a blanket over our baby.

There was only one server and he seemed very distracted and stretched to the limit, carrying chairs upstairs and unsuccessfully trying to cover the downstairs dining room customers such as ourselves at the same time. As such the service the diners downstairs got was rushed and hard to come by, and whenever the waiter came into sight the customers had to wave him over.
We ordered a large pizza to split - the pizza was delivered fairly quickly and was hot but was otherwise very average - there were plenty of toppings, but it seemed rather tasteless - we ordered 1/2 "The Lot" and half "Capricciosa" both of which should have been quite flavourful - but instead were quite dry and bland, and lacking sufficient cheese or sauce. The waiter completely forgot my husbands drink and at no point came back after delivering our food the check if we needed anything, or wished to order more drinks or desert. The biggest surprise was when I went up to the bar to pay (our waiter was no where to be found) Much to my surprise I was told quite abruptly when I tried to pay "no cards - only cash" if the total is less than $25 (this had not been mentioned to us by the waiter, didn't seem to appear on the menu and I didn't see any signs indicating this to be the case) - lucky I always carry a small amount of cash as many people do not these days and rely on EFPOS or credit cards. Very disappointing for a "family style" restaurant. The other surprise was the $5 charged for a small bottle of Coke - what a rip off ! Overall the experience left us feeling neglected by our server and disappointed by the food. Sad as this is an area with many, many families, the restaurant is well located and it would have been nice to be able to recommend it as a great place to take your kids and family.

Fieste Family Restaurant is a pizza/pasta type of restaurant. I recently went here for a meal with my grandmother. The waitress took us to a table near the door but then decided to seat us at a table away from the door so that it wouldn't be too cold for my grandmother with the door opening and people coming and going. Once we were seated they offered to move my grandmother's walker to a corner of the room so that it was out of our way.

The waitress quickly realised that my grandmother is a little hard on her hearing so spoke loudly and carefully so that she could understand what was being said.

Our drinks were brought out quickly and we placed our meal orders. The meals were brought out to us within a short amount of time. The bbq chicken pizza was well cooked - the base tasted really fresh. The veal scallopine was cooked nicely too and came with a salad, they made a smaller portion size for my grandmother.

For dessert we had some ice-cream from the ice-cream and gelato freezer.

The meals tasted great. The atmosphere was pleasant and family oriented and the staff were friendly.
