For as long as they have been there we have always enjoyed the meals at Fasta Pasta at Gilles Plains be they the daily specials, burgers, pasta, p fish and chips, steak or schnitziel.
However, yesterday I ordered a prawn pasta but was very much surprised to only get 2 prawns in the pasta sauce. Tad disappointed!

Met my brother and sister in law here for lunch and enjoyed choosing a pasta dish from the extensive pasta menu. Nice large seating area which is well serviced by friendly staff. Well priced at lunch time too. It was enjoyed by all.
After a few bad experiences, this venue seems to be getting better. I've found a dish that I've consistently been happy with (BBQ chicken pizza) and my kids always enjoy their meals, which is why we keep going back. Meals always come out quickly but staff could be a bit friendlier. For a "family friendly" restaurant, they don't really interact with kids well and smiles were few and far between today...

I had 2 nice experiences with food there followed by 3 awful experiences. I'm talking about the sauce on the Bolognaise Lasagne....it's such cheap quality (not professionally baked). There's too much runny sauce over it yet serves of bolognaise were too scimpy with the sauce according to friends. They also report a continued disregard for valid complaints and they go to a local diner now. It is a real shame because the actual venue looks really nice inside and outside, with plenty of parks. The noise people comment on is only when they're busy to be honest - most times it is OK. Our experiences span over 5-6 years.
I took my 90 yr old stepmother here after she won several meal vouchers from Modbury Bowls Club. She disliked the noise, the food & the chairs were not comfortable. What a shame! My sister & I managed ok with our free meal but am not hurrying to return.
Have never had a good experience at any fasta pasta, will not try again.
Wonderful service, great value for money meals. The restaurant was very clean and tidy and the selection of meals and desserts were plentiful. Kids meal deals had a great selection also.

On a whole the meals here are good value however sometimes they are a bit inconsistent with the sizes, sometimes a main is not a lot bigger than an entree. The staff are friendly and the service is quite quick which is a bonus if you are popping out for dinner before a movie.
Like that store. But think Fasta Pasta is a bit overrated.
Love this restaurant. The food is great and they have great prices. Its not the most fancy restaurant but they always have a friendly smile and great products.
OK ill start with the good, when you dine-in , the food is excellent and service and quality is fine, I love the moose cake :)
now the bad, when you order take -away, you get a completely different experience, the food is the same price but poor quality, last time I got my pasta, the meat/sauce was only a table spoon amount on top of cooked plain pasta..with the cheese the same size and on top so I was not even able to mix that poor excuse for sauce experience, I ended up having to cook up my own pasta sauce to add to their pasta. they really need to start making the take away the same quality as the dine in.

I have been to this Fasta pasta a few times and the quality of the food varies. The restaurant is a little noisy when busy, but overall, an O.K. place to eat out.

Average service for a reasonable price. Not much choice from the menu. They have a free ice cream for each kids meal purchased. Can be too noisy at times.
