I have been going here to buy wool for jumpers for the last few years. Alpaca for that special jumper etc. Help is good. More wool to reknit sleeves when someone wore out one sleeve of a well-loved cable-knit. Very helpful staff. Call in and you wont be disappointed. Last jumper cost about $120 but it was all wool & no synthetic.

I really like this fabric, haberdashery,quilting store. It has such a wide range of products. All the sewing, knitting requirements are stocked and it is now very rare to find a local store with this range of goods. Found the buttons I was looking for which was great. So whether you need a large purchase or just a small one, this store is likely to have what you need. Very friendly assistants too.

I had bought a top form a local op shop which had a broken zipper i took the zipper out and took the top in here to ask for some help and opinions on what fastening i should replace it with. the women was very helpfull and in the end a bought another zip for it. The zip looked great sewn in and hardly cost me anything. I will be going here again instead of the bigger name places were service seems to be no exsisitant.

This is a small store selling haberdashery items (large range of buttons, zippers, cottons). Sells patterns and wools and quilting fabric. It has a small range of fabrics. I find it good for buttons and threads etc. Patterns also.

This is a small shop on the main road at Blackwood. It supplies good quality products and has been there for quite a few years so must have a regular clientele. It adds to the hills feel of the shopping area.
