I couldn't be happier with ezytaxback, and will use them for all my future tax returns and to continue catching up on overdue tax returns. I will also highly recommend them to everyone I know.

I got in a little trouble with late tax returns, and initially couldn't find anyone who lodges returns for less than $125 each. This would have run into the thousands.

Finally, I found ezytaxback, who claimed to do fixed-fee online returns for just $29.95 each - with no extra charges "for rental property, foreign income, and other additional schedules."

I was skeptical but decided to give them a try and hope for the best. However, right up to lodgement, I kept waiting for surprise charges to crop up. I'd even checked the Tax Practitioners' Board website to make sure they were a legit accountant before making payment, feeling $30 returns had to be a scam.

My returns weren't straight forward. They included legal fees, an early termination payment, and early super withdrawals due to a nasty work situation years ago; business income, business stock purchases and open/closing balances; capital gains/purchases and sales of shares; and foreign income. And I wasn't the easiest client to deal with. There were delays on my end, I had numerous queries and requests for clarification on tax law... and a few amendments when I found further claimable expenses and omitted information or made mistakes. I was certain ezytaxback would charge me extra for these returns, and knew they had every right to.

To my astonishment, ezytaxback didn't try to charge me a cent over the $29.95 per return.

In addition, the service was fantastic. Ashley was always delightful to deal with, and always happy to answer questions and queries. She was very patient with my nightmare returns, and Ashley and Justin completed the job to a professional standard.

I'm still stunned that ezytaxback is even able to offer this service at $29.95, and have never seen or heard of any other accountant that would do the most basic return for this price.

I would never consider using another accountant for tax returns again, and will recommend them to everyone.
