1 review about Evoque

I purchased a voucher through Groupon which entitled me to 2 express manicures, 2 express pedicures, 2 microdermabration treatment and 1 photomodulatoin treatment.

I tried contacting the company approximately 1 week after I purchased the coupon only to be told they had not opened up yet and that Groupon had sold the vouchers too early. To my surprise they rang me back after one month (once they opened) so I could make an appointment. When I enquired what a photomodulation treatment was they were at a loss and could not tell me. So much for being professional. Anyway, I had my express pedi/mani and actually was told I would have to pay extra if I wanted them to push back my cuticles. In the end they didn't charge me for it. I then made an appointment for one of my microdermabratoin treatments. The day before I attended they rang me to cancel the appointment saying their microdermabration machine had not come in yet. On average I would ring them once per week to see if I could book in my microdermabratoin treament, only to be told the same story. They assured me they would ring me once the machine had arrived.

Anyway, I had a function on Saturday so thought I would ring them to book in for a manicure/pedicure only to have a recorded message saying they had closed down for renovations and to contact their Watergardens salon. After investigating further, it turns out that:

1. Their Watergardens store is not open and an exact date of opening is not known. Maybe sometime if January.

2. They have not closed down due to renovations. I heard that "things didn't work out" for the business owners.

3. Evoque attempted to open up a salon in Caroline Springs earlier in the year and were selling vouchers door to door. But apparently their salon in Caroline Springs either did not open up or closed shortly after opening.

The salon was not fitted out properly. I had to walk from one room for my pedicure to another room for my manicure. There were 4 members of staff and I was the only person in for treatment and yet they could not even answer their telephone in time. All I could hear them say is that "Groupon sold the vouchers two weeks earlier than what they were suppose to". The managers or the two ladies running the business did not seem like professionals at all (they appeared unkept) and appeared they had no knowledge of their alleged profession. The two staff they employed were just out of beauty school, were immaculate, make up done, nails done perfectly, their apperance was wonderful and knew a lot more than the owners/managers knew.

I presently attempting to get a refund from Groupon.

Approximate cost: $59.00
