10 reviews about Eros Cafe

I have been to Eros Kafe 3 times over the last 3 weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed each experience. The food is delicious and beautifully presented and they have an excellent selection. Breakfast is a treat - I recommend the feta and mushroom omelette and the Greek style yoghurt. Dinner - a feast for the eyes and taste buds, Meze portions are perfect for sharing, with plenty of variety. Menu is a bit pricey compared to a standard cafe, but well worth it. The staff are consistently friendly, prompt. and attentive. Perfect for breakfast or dinner!

Having been totally disheartened by the serve of the Italian place on the corner or Rundel st I didn't think I could enjoy dinner at all. But the staff at Eros Café and the food changed my mind completely. Friendly and well trained staff presented exceptional food to us. I highly recommend the dips and the pork belly really wonderful experience

My wife and I dined at Eros Cafe for a date. Initially, someone quickly came to seat us and take a drink order - which is great. From then on, the service was well below par. It took 30 minutes to receive that first drink.

By this time, we were more than ready to order. We did so, and then our food came relatively quickly - great. Unfortunately, the food was wrong - one of the mezze dishes was completely incorrect. They gladly took it away without fuss and replaced it within 10 or so minutes.

At the time when we received the first dishes, we asked for the wine list. This never came. We finally waved someone down to ask them for it again and it was delivered. Then, we were left for another 30 minutes, by which time we'd eaten most of our food and had no drink. When we were able to flag someone down again, someone from outside distracted the person from getting to the counter, to complain to them that they hadn't had anyone come out to ask them if they wanted anything for an hour. Finally, I waved down what seemed to be the manager and told him we were very disappointed and he got us the wine quick smart and also offered us free coffee for our trouble.

Overall, the food was excellent, but the service wasn't great. The value overall was definitely affected by the service, and wasn't worth the 15 or so dollars per mezze.

Both the Ouzeri and the Cafe, owned by different companies, could do with a re-train of their staff. But their food is amazing!

The cafe's dolmades are huge, mouthwatering and just amazing. The set banquet for groups of 10 or more has the most amazing selection of entrées, although make sure to ask for extra vegetarian options if you have vego guests. Their haloumi is to die for, the croquettes are crisp and tasty and the chicken is charcoaled perfection.

Don't bypass this amazing food just because of their average service - it is truly a worthwhile dining experience!!

When you go to a restaurant for a special occasion, 21st dinner, you hope that paying a bit extra will mean you have a nice evening.
The service was abysmal, we had to literally flag down a waitress each time, glasses were not cleared, nor used dishes. At 9pm on a Thursday in the middle of summer with half a restaurant full and still eating main course we were told the kitchen was closing and that if we wanted any more food we would need to order it asap.
Credit due to the kitchen as the food was tasty and good size portions.

Disappointing.

Lovely dinner here. The restaurant is really nice. Good food. A little dissappointed with the variety of the Mezze but what we ordered was still good and as must as you'd expect to pay. Service a little annoying - kept getting interrupted too much! I know they're trying to do their job but I rather more time to talk to my friends!

Service was dreadful - main meals came 10 mins apart for two diners and veggies to go with meal did not arrive until after meal had been eaten (despite prompting waitress). Food adequate.

These guys do great greek food. I love their spanikopita and their dips are always super tasty. Prices are on the high side, however this is Rundle Street. This is also a great place to catch up for a coffee and a cake too if you're feeling extra naughty!

Cafe Eros is located down Rundle Street and specialises in Greek Cuisine. They always produce high quality coffees and have a good range of cold drinks (my favorite being iced coffee), and they serve the usual variety of cakes and pastries, as well as a decent pizza.
