We stayed here not long ago when we had a wedding in the city. It was perfect for the location as it wasn't costing us much to catch a taxi to our venue. But the hotel was a big let down. The staff were rude. We had to pay a deposit in our credit card which they said they only froze however it took three weeks for that money to come back on. The rooms were average wouldn't say many positive things about thus hotel.

Giving this place one star is pushing it for me. Short story,i won a night at this hotel. Booked it for the night i wanted,was never told anything else other than thanks and see you . Arrive on the night with partner only to be told there is a $200 deposit! I was never told this when i booked and told the woman i had won the night there. So after a heated disgusted conversation ,the manager was brought to me, he wanted the 200 deposit as well, i ended up giving in for $100 still disgusted. Given a key and told hope u have a nice stay ,no directions to our room we found it though. Ok room was overlooking the car park ( king room mind you) nothing to see and hear but noisy patrons, checked out the bathroom omg! Why this place has given itself a 5 star rating is mind boggling. The bottom outside of the toilet was dirty and dusty,there was a long black hair on the shower wall! The sink wasn't that clean,the bathroom looked like it had a lick and a polish nothing more. The bed was quite comfy though but the flashing lights of cars and street neons up the road were annoying even with the curtains shut. Next morning at check out we had to wait 20 min whilst someone checked our room to make sure we didn't take anything we weren't supposed to. Made us feel like criminals or school kids being chastised .i did complain again about winning a room and having to pay a deposit and not being informed of this in the first place. No apology just "its policy" i thought it stunk and i also mentioned the dirty bathroom. I wouldn't ever even consider staying there again even for a special occasion. Over priced and no service what so ever, who wins a contest and has to pay $200 deposit? I did email a letter of complaint but never even received an acknowledgement. Good luck if you want to check it out hopefully staff and management have changed and the cleaners also
