2 x coffees, 2 x crossiants, 1 cupcake Asked for crossiants to be roasted twice, no toasted crossiants. To much competition in the area for someistales, first and last time custome

Approximate cost: $31

Three stars because it was a high-low experience.
The staff were lovely.
The coffee was OK - the grind was getting a litter weak, flavour not as refined as you would expect from a coffee house and the art was barely visable.
The food was hit and miss. The french toast was superb - made with brioche and a light egg anglaise, served with cream, praline and caramelized banana. It was right and luxurious, but not overwhelmingly rich and retained a lightness that allowed one to finish it.
The other dish however, was rather strange. Corn Fritters with Avo, Sour Cream, Salsa, Rocket, Pesto and Smoked Salmon. These were doughy pancake-like corn fritters. The aspects which jarred, was the spiciness and the unnecessary components ie. pesto?

I like the vintage styled Elceed, it feels kinda laid back, have been a few times for brunch/lunch on the weekends. I always struggle to decide what to order and the prices are very reasonable! The menu has good selection of healthier options, veggie focus, gluten free options, and specials written on the big glass window to the courtyard. :)

Fantastic! Have just moved to North Melbourne & am lucky enough to live close by to this is a little gem situated in Queensberry St North Melbourne. Courtyard out the back is the perfect setting on a weekend morning to read the paper in the sun and have a lovely breakfast. Try the Smokin Eggs!

I really like Elceed but I'd suggest avoiding on the weekend as it gets packed with families, strollers etc. I think it's better enjoyed when you have a bit of peace and quiet. The food is good but I have a problem with poached eggs served on a flat wooden board - more a test of wills than a relaxing meal! Still do give it a go - the baked eggs, snuggled safe in a bowl, are worth a try.

This cafe is totally unassuming and fantastic. Who knew such a treasure exists behind this ordinary shop front? I had the best long black I've ever had in my life here. It was just delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and the environment is very calm. It is a haven for anyone who needs brain space and time. I went around 8.30am one morning and the sun was blazing in their rear window, which was really fabulous. I didn't eat the food here as I didn't have enough time but it looks welcoming and homely. A really nice place - I'll be back.

Cute little cafe, reminiscent of your nan's kitchen. We turned up for brunch on a relatively busy saturday. The prices are good, the service was friendly & efficient and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the brioche french toast or the corn fritters. Both were a winner! They serve A2 milk too!
