Had a craving for Asian food while at Southbank. We checked out EastXpress and were amazed at the great food! Not a huge variety to choose from - I think it was 2 dishes each of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Malaysian and Indian. There were 5 adults in our group, so we bought 5 meals from the menu and shared them so we could try all of them.

Each meal came with rice, a small serve of salad and coleslaw. You could upgrade the meal to include drinks and then upgrade again to get fried rice or prawn chips or a salad. The basic meal cost $7.70, the next one was about $9.90 and the complete package was about $11.90. You could also choose what kind of meat you wanted. With the $11.90 upgrade, there was more than enough food for us. It was fresh, hot and delicious.

The service was excellent and we had a very short wait for the food. The lady serving was so friendly and helpful. We were going to eat outside the store, but with a large group of children, we decided to go and eat on the grass. She noticed us moving and helped us pack up our food in bags. The container lids made great plates and there were plenty of serviettes, chopsticks and plastic cutlery available.

I can't wait to go back and eat there again. I wish it wasn't the only one in Brisbane (one in Logan City would be great, thanks!)

Approximate cost: $7.70 - $12.00

Sounds like great service and a very affordable way of feeding a bigger group in Southbank. Thanks :)
