My kelpies just love it either as a straight feed or mixed with other biscuits. Does wonders for stools too.

My bull arab x staffy loves this stuff as much as he loves his raw meat and bones and much more than he likes any of the other dry dog foods. It looks and smells nutritional (I can smell molasses especially). It was recommended to me by a kelpie owner whose dog was addicted, it was all she ate. I call it 'dog muesli' cos that's what it looks like, its not pellets, the mixture can vary slightly from pack to pack but is always muesli coloured, there is a pink tinge through some of the muesli which ive gathered is from added nutritional supplements.
If you have a fussy dog they may have trouble adjusting to the muesli and its consistency.
Ive only ever bought it in big 16kg bags which is a lot of dog food (especially if your dog didnt like). At $35 a bag it works out to be quite a cheap feed as a little goes a long way, my dogs usually eat it on its own but it blends well and is fantastic to mix in with raw meat or scraps. I sometimes add a sliced banana and my bull arab x just gorges himself, with muesli stuck all over his snout its also funny to watch:D

NB @ReecesCheckYaPieces "..One is left to wonder whether the manufactures would be prepared to personally consume the product.." I have no doubt they would, this is not like normal disgusting meaty pet food.

Approximate cost: $35 16kg

This is an Australian made dog food. I try to support our country's industry but I was disappointed. The price is average, that is not cheap but not particularly expensive. It is quite different to look at from most dry dog food as it is not pellets or kibble but resembles biscuit factory sweepings dyed red BUT I am NOT saying that is what it is. In fact the company stresses that its product is 100% natural, with
no preservatives nor artificial colours added and it is high in vegetable oil and made from human grade ingredients without
offal.

For me it proved to be a waste of money because my dogs refused to eat it. Anyone who has a Labrador like me will know the breed is renowned for “eating anything”. (As a result they are often the victims of snail bait.) To turn up the nose to any kind of food is unusual.

While the kelpie stud used in promotional material gives high praise to the product, I'll not be buying it again. The company advertises that it also produces vegetarian dog biscuits.

Maybe this glitch will be rectified but I was not able to log onto their Internet site nor send a message to inform them of my disappointment.

Approximate cost: $41

As someone who is always looking for a well balanced, nutritional diet for my dogs I will take your advice up until I see the product and my dogs taste it for themselves.
Thank you for sharing your review

Hi Eugeniaz1, thanks for the heads-up. Given that Labradors are renowned for their vivacious appetite, this seems very strange indeed and is not a good endorsement of the product. One is left to wonder whether the manufactures would be prepared to personally consume the product given that it is claimed to be made from ‘human grade’ ingredients? We would seriously doubt it! Nevertheless, it was decent of you to attempt to notify them of your experience. Please keep in mind that many brands now offer a money back guarantee. Regards, Reeces
