I am really amazed by the fast delivery speed and their navigation expertise, I just gave my location and order food from my favourite restautant and I got it within minutes served hot. The best food delivery service in Hobart

Got a text at 540 saying driver was on the way - Eta 13 min.
Watched him drive from Salamanca to Mt Stuart, back to North hobart with what looked like several stops on the way, then finally on the way to my house.
35 min later he arrives with my barely luke warm food.
Didn't seem to really care, thought it was enough to say he had to go to bottle shop for the other order - even though I said I'd been watching his route and there were more than 2 stops.
Wouldn't have minded 20 min but that ruined my whole experience.
Meal was $46,their fee $11.50

Approximate cost: $57

These guys are brilliant! They do not add much extra ontop of the meal costs for their profit which is great.
I use these guys regularly, maybe once a fortnight and have never had any service or time issues!
The only problem I had once was a part of the meal came wrong and I simply texted the number to just let them know. Well they called me not long after and apologised and went to the resturant and picked up the part that was wrong and delivered it for no extra charge and we received within 20 mins! Very pleasing!
They charge a little extra if you order from more than one resturant (of course!) but isn't it great that a delivery service offers this! Very unique.
Love these guys, highly highly recommended!

I have used these guys twice, the delivery fee is quite steep, but if you're getting food and drinks for multiple people, all from the same restaurant, the economies of scale start to work out.

They are friendly, professional, and their communication is as expected for a service like this.

Please note these guys are not actually a restaurant, they are just a delivery service, so this review is purely on the delivery.

Approximate cost: $9.50

I found these guys a while back pretty much by accident when I was surfing the web looking for something entirely different and thought they looked interesting.

Fast forward to last Saturday night when I was feeling a bit under the weather (no, not self inflicted) and wasn't really up for cooking or driving to go and pick something up for dinner.

Dial a Meal offers home delivery for a number of restaurants around Hobart's Salamanca district. Annaupurna (Indian), La Porchetta (Italian), Fish Frenzy (Seafood) and Dumpling World (Asian).

You place your order from the restaurant menus (either via the website or phone), Dial a Meal then collect the order and deliver it to you for a modest fee.

For our first order, we were reasonably happy (though delivery is a bit on the expensive side, the convenience of being able to get something other than pizza delivered is handy).

The interaction I had with the staff was reasonably pedestrian. He was just there to deliver my dinner and collect the cash, but the young bloke was polite enough. My only criticism would be that the food didn't appear to be delivered in one of those heat retaining bags that the pizza delivery guys use. As a result, the food possibly didn't stay as warm as it could have for the drive from Salamanca to Claremont.

Even so, I'd use them again in similar circumstances.

Approximate cost: $7.50-$11.50 for delivery depending on location
