10 reviews about Degree Cafe

Degree has really picked up it's game recently. Having read some reviews from early this year and earlier I feel like they deserve some recognition for their work.

The coffee is good, the price is reasonable and the guys at the machines are always friendly! When making a sandwich it's great value for money as you can get as much salad on it as you want. Also, I noticed for a long time they weren't charging extra for things like syrup etc being added to coffees. Now they've added these extra charges but I think that's fair enough. The atmosphere is great and its a relaxing place to unwind after a long day in their comfortable seats.

The quality of the food at Degree Cafe on the ANU Campus is good at best. Their sandwiches are great when you need a quick bite but other than that their menu options do not excite.

Their coffee is not fantastic and better alternatives can be sought out on the ANU Campus. The value for money is better than expected however.

Service is friendly but brief.

Overall, a good but not great experience.

The coffee is not exceptionally great but okay. The cafe has quite a good atmosphere for a quick lunch or break. The service staff are quite efficient and friendly.

This is one of the busiest cafes on campus- but its always baffled me why. Although the coffee can be good, it can also be pretty bad. Its also not the cheapest on campus.

The coffee is so dependent on who the barista is, and is generally a bit cooler than I like. Given that it's roughly the same price as the three other cafes nearby, it can't really compete with those. If you're running really late for a class in Manning Clark, Degree is better than nothing. Most of the time.

OK sandwiches make it a good lunch stop.

The quality of the coffee depends on who makes it, which means if can differ from very good to very bad depending on the day. The food is good, but very over priced for a university area.

It's busy because it's good! Great coffee and it's nice when it's busy and there's a buzz in the air. The salads are also really yummy - a nice break from uni!

Their coffee is highly dependent on which barrista you get. But, the majority of the time it is a great, creamy well made coffee. Pity it is about a dollar more then most other coffees on campus.

But the real reason why you come here is the salad/sandwhich bar. A chicken sandwhich can be made for about 8, which sounds a bit pricey. But it comes with as much house salad as you want, which includes grilled eggplant, (real!) avocado, and nice cheeses.

They are also open for breakfast, and on Saturday until 2.

Approximate cost: $15

The make a great coffee. One of the busiest cafe at the Australian National University. I like the place because it has a great atmosphere, either to catch up and talk with friend or to study while having lunch. The price has gone up a bit though.

best cafe on campus, or at least the busiest. The prices have recently gone up which is a bit disappointing, but if u want good coffe, food and cakes around union court you don't have too much choice.
