Avoid at all costs.
I engaged Decon Services to demolish a house in Camp Hill, QLD.
After they attended a site visit in May 2021, they provided a quote and the contract was signed, with a 10% deposit paid in June 2021. They were engaged to demolish the house on a specific date, early in 2022.
Things started to go bad when they did not arrived on the start date, a date that had been confirmed several times in the lead up.
Three days late, they finally arrived only to leave after a few minutes on site.
When we called them (yep, they didn't bother calling us) they advised they "stuffed up" their quote and that they couldn't do the job for the price they quoted (the price they signed a contract for). They indicated they wanted to charge us a further $6,000 in order to start (and complete) the job they had contracted to do.
We declined, and found an alternative contractor who was able to complete the job instead.
Decon Services then deducted funds from the deposit for their "administration, SWIMS and Form 65" all of which we had to pay the substitute demolisher for as well (you know, the one who actually did the job, unlike Decon Services).
I would avoid these guys like the plague.
If I could given them zero stars I would.
