The lunch special is good value, however I'm sorry to say was just disgusting. At least there are other happy reviewers here, perhaps it's better to go for dinner....

Anyway I went down and ordered a bunch of lunches for people in the office, watched as they microwaved each dish to perfection...

I know that is probably common practice for most restaurants, but seeing that the kitchen had about 20 microwaves made me wonder if they use them at busy dinner times as well? I can only speculate...

The curry was hardly edible and lacked any flavor, sorry but I wouldn't be back

We saw the ad in a local paper and decided to give it a try. The staff were very friendly and the food tasted great. The buffet didn't have a lot of choices but was still very filling!

It was a good night! We decided to book over the phone this time, and it worked out great. The place is not extremely big, but has more then enough needed space, as its not too busy most the time. The food, was fabulous. They have a good variety of tasty Indian dishes which I greatly enjoyed. I recommend this place if your looking for a nice Indian Meal.

Dawat Indian Restaurant has absolutely beautiful food. The servings are vary generous, even with a huge hunger we couldn't finish out meal, and ended up having to ask for takeaway packages for our leftovers. This was absolutely no problem for the staff, who were more than happy to help. In fact, the staff was lovely and friendly from the moment we walked in the door.
The decor is really outdated and not overly lovely, but the food more than makes up for the slightly daggy surroundings.
Dawat also offers take-away, and has fast service.
They have a variety of dishes, entree, mains and breads and are in my opinion better than the regular chain Indian restaurants all over the place.

Food always No 1, sensational indian flavour which no other indian restaurant can match. We have been eating there about 10 years. Staff are very friendly.

The food is great and very reasonably priced. Don't expect fance service, but the enviroments are clean and roomy, and the staff are friendly and helpful if there's problem.
