My experience over the years has been up and down. I think this is a very tiring and trying business and therefore not much room for creative thinking and moving with the new tides of presentation and configurations of menus. I like to know what I am eating and do not like BASA from Indonesian waters which is the choice of your local fish and chip shop because it is cheap. I like to know that the fish I eat is found from deep water, clean waters and sustainably fished. I like it grilled but will suffer a batter that is tempura or lightly flavoured with herbs. It would be nice to ask for this when you happen upon such a beautiful place to park yourself and enjoy the soul of the seas. I do not find this so at Danny's and I guess the turnover depends upon weather and therefore the fish you ask for could be frozen and without much flavour even if you do get the type of fish you want. You don't have to spend a lot of money to appeal to seafood addicts. The best of the best is to be found where fishermen bring in their catch to an old kitchen in or outside and fillet and cook it that day and present it wrapped in some clean paper bag. Fish here averages $10 a piece and upwards and can be on its day really good. Add chips or salad and you have a $20 average per person for something that home cooking could cut by two thirds the cost but the ambience of the setting entices you. Pizza is full but heavy based at this cafe of same name

What a beautiful setting and great food. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Danny's and we will certainly be back. reasonable price for fresh tasty seafood.
