My mate recommended we have a quick lunch here as he heard it was great for steak, fish and chips. So that is exactly what we ordered, I had steak and chips and he ordered the fish and chips, both came with salad.

Our meals were served promptly and tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. I can be fussy with my steak, but not complaints, it was perfect.

Whilst the service was prompt, I would not say friendly, seemed to be a bit moody.

We decided to have dinner here before attending the Fringe Festival. Thankfully we had a 25% off voucher. The atmosphere in the upstairs dining area is quite nice and even better when the sliding doors to the outside were opened. The service was okay especially as they were rather busy. I ordered the chicken pollo and my husband had crumbed calamari. We were surprised at the quickness of the delivery of our food. My husband enjoyed his calamari. My pasta was tasty, but only had a small sprinkling of chicken and bacon, and was really an entree serve. We had to ask for parmesan which was very poor service. The meals were around $20 each which was rather expensive for what we got. Will not return, even with a voucher.

Approximate cost: $40 even with voucher

Management was changed so this place is now run by Asian people. They have classic offerings similar to a pub.
Their servings are small and they come out rather quickly.
Probably not somewhere I would come to again.

Approximate cost: $avg

I love this restaurant and have been going here on and off for the past 12 or so years.
Definitely not an overly fancy restaurant (plain decor and standard Italian cuisine on the menu that's presented in a pretty standard way), but the food itself is always cooked extermely well and tastes amazing. The staff are really friendly and make an effort to give excellent service.
My favourite is the filet mignon and the bruschetta is really yummy.
I would give it a thumbs up for continuing to serve comforting, warm, Italian cuisine and not trying too hard to be different or to match other fancier restaurants nearby.
Deserts are nice and often the waiters will come out with a little platter of deserts for you to view and choose from which is a nice touch.

Approximate cost: $25

Daniel's restaurant is one of the many Italian restaurants located down Rundle Street, and it serves rather poor quality food in comparison to it's rivals (in my opinion). Their chicken polo was very greasy and made me feel a little sick after eating it (I couldn't finish it either, which is a rarity for me!), and their drinks are rather expensive. They have a classic range of pre-prepared cakes and biscuits, and do an OK coffee, I don't think I'll eat another main there though.
