I found their goods way overpriced. If you walk 20 yards or so into Woolworths Cannon Hill, you can obtain the same bakery products (eg bread rolls) at a much lower price and the size of the product is alos larger.
When there for breakfast and got the wrong pie, and the pie was of very low quality and went in the bin. So I will never go to that store again excuse was where only just waking up.
Approximate cost: $6.0
There is wonderful service and great food either yummy pies, or healthy sandwiches. The coffee is great and the staff are attentive and do their best to get your coffee to you in the morning coffee rushes.
Approximate cost: $10
This place is ENORMOUS. There is SO much to choose from that if you ate there every day for a month, you probably wouldn't get through their range.
Their coffee is delicious, and we often go for a cuppa and a cake when we are in Brisbane. Everything we have eaten here has been beautiful and fresh.
I must check these guys out... sounds fabulous.
this bakery is big and soooo much too choose from you will get hungry just looking at what they have lol yummiest food ever you will want too go back all the time just too try something else
This is quite a large bakery with the most delicious cakes. So hard to choose from the large selection that is baked there daily. Bread is bread, not a huge selection. The coffee is to die for. Love whatever coffee beans they use. Nice and hot everytime. The service is very prompt as they have many employee's. The only thing i don't like is the name and did stop me going there until a friend dragged me in
Approximate cost: $5.00
This Crusty Devil has a big cafe attached. Really good coffee for the price which is around $2 for a medium or large they usually always have specials on coffee. Nice fresh sandwiches but just a generic style bakery but reasonably good value.
Crusty Devil makes great pies and various breads (spinach and cheese is my favourite). The coffee is great too, and very cheap compared to other coffee shops. Best of all this shop is open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday nights.
The Cannon Hill Crusty Devil Bakehouse opened around two years ago, following on from the success of the Carina North Crusty Devil. Located at the entrance to the Cannon Hill Central Shopping Complex (the one with Woolworths), the bakery is large and has a good sized covered alfresco dining area in front of the building. Whilst dining customers can watch the production of pies, cakes and pastries through a very large window.
Inside, the store opens directly onto the shopping complex entrance, so there are no doors to enter or exit through. Free samples of one product or another are usually available, together with a table of reduced price items. The bakery has an extensive range of breads, buns, critters, sliced sandwich loaves, sandwiches, toasties, rolls, wraps, crusty critters, quiches, sweet twists, savoury twists, pies, sausage rolls, pasties, salads, and gourmet Turkish rolls. Also sold are slices, pastries, tarts, croissants, cookies, cup cakes, donuts, danishs, muffins, scones and cakes. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk shakes and canned drinks are also available. Although Crusty Devil's food is always tasty and well prepared their prices are rather too high for my liking. Pies, irrespective of flavour, are all $4.40 each whilst a ham and salad sandwich retails for $6.50.
Approximate cost: $4.40
