After reading a review on this cafe I decided to give it a go after doing my shopping this week. I have to say I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the breakfast and lunch menus. I just met up with a friend and had a cupa and slice of cake between us. Next time I think we will allow enough time for lunch as the meals looked delicious and everyone seemed to be enjoying them. Very quick service even though they were a little busy. Plenty of seating, didn't feel squashed. Will definitely try again.
The cafe is gently lit, making it feel cosy. There are a variety of different size and shape tables including a long one where people can gather and chat. The cafe is under new management and I am delighted with the friendliness of the staff. The food and drinks are unfailingly delicious and well made. The cafe uses local ingredients wherever possible. Definitely more expensive than other cafes for food but the quality at Corso Cafe can't be beaten. I enjoy coming here for a cuppa and breakfast occasionally for a special treat.
I wasn't aware of this cafe, definitely will be trying when I am in Barker later this week. Thanks for sharing.
Went here for a cupa today with a friend after reading your review. Have to say we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for reviewing them, otherwise I don't think I would have given them a go.
The gourmet wood oven pizzas are amazing (and addictive) and are available from around noon. The service is lovely, individual attention is given, the cafe setting is comfortable and inviting. Local and fresh ingredients are sourced and used.
Approximate cost: $15
Under new management now, definitely have EFTPOS.
