We were led to a small table snug in the corner on the balcony where easy-listening music was being played and the weather was beautiful.

Our waitress was not only that - she was a connoisseur of food and was able to really 'sell' the dishes. For entree (on her advice) we ordered the chopped caramalised apple with roasted almonds, served with an oven-baked rosemary and garlic brie and turkish bread. It was to die for.
The number of mains was the only disappointing factor. For someone like me who is unable to eat red meat, high fat or high tomato content (for medical reasons) and is allergic to fish, I would have liked to see a chicken dish on the menu. However, I opted to have the lamb shanks & boy were they good! The shanks were served with a cauliflower puree, broccoli and a beautiful jus.

We also ordered the cider tasting plate and well they were
D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!! We ended up opting for one of the ciders to have with our mains and were advised they would be complimentary. Because of this and the fact they were so good, we ended up purchasing some more as we left.

All up an excellent place to go - it's like a little bit of Margaret River 25 minutes from home! We'll definitely be back!!

Approximate cost: $30

Great location, great views, great food, great service. Friendly staff, and fantastic ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. And the cider and merlot were to die for. Certainly will go there again and will be recommending to all my friends.

I've never liked cider but even I could finish a glass of their homemade organic ciders. Very, very good. Not sickly sweet, overly carbonated or too rough. Their drinks really are some of the highest quality you can buy. The views over the rolling hillside are magic, the food is good and the friendly service is very welcoming. Will be recommending CORE to everyone
