Ok comic shop(or shops as there are 2 other stores in melbourne), the tradebacks/ graphic novels, are at least $10 more than other similar comic shops, even with the 10% discount they offer on them, still too pricey. Good range of comics and other sci-fi merchandise.

Massive range of comics and a fair range of collectables too. Whilst Minotaur is more diverse, Comics R Us specialise in comics and the selection is brilliant. If you're a comic fan you can't go wrong. It's not easy to find, but once you do find it you better take a packed lunch because its easy to lose yourself amongst the comics for hours.

A nice place for a browse (lots of variety) so you're sure to find some thing odd or new. It's a really great haphazard looking place. I've also been in on Free Comic Book Day, and the staff got really in to it, costumes and all, which was so much fun.

Minotaur might be quite good for books, merch and DVDs, but if you want comics, there's only one realistic choice for the Melbourne CBD: Comics R Us.

The staff is way friendlier than at any other comic shop in Melbourne, and they know their stock inside and out. They are also awesome when it comes to recommendations, and their pricing is great too!

Approximate cost: $10-$30

I don't know. These guys are $10 more expensive on a LOT of there trades compared to the other 3 stores in the city. Doesn't seem like great value to me.

I would like to point out that I do visit all three comics' stores in city of Melbourne. All three stores would get five stars from me for customer service.
As for the prices of new, back issues and hard cover comics in all stores is not that much in difference.

What l love about Comics R Us is the amazing staff. They are friendly and character, personality and l have never seen any of them pass judgment on any of their customers.
The boys remind me of the comic geek version of Hamish and Andy (Fox FM radio station).

The small upstairs shop allows the staff to get to know their costumes and give a five star service. No matter who walks up those stairs, the customer will be treated as if they are number one person in the comic book world.
I do buy my comics from Comics R Us because l am very happy with their prices and awesome services.

The guys at "Comics 'R' Us" are friendly, helpful and always willing to chat about titles, and to let you read a few pages of something of the shelf to make sure you know what it is you want to get into. More importantly, the Staff of "Comics 'R' Us" represent the future of geeks, AKA "The Geeks that get Laid".

These guys are the best! Particularly Mitchell, the store manager ... he will go to unusual lengths to ensure customers get the best comic (and/or other collectibles) bang for their buck. Friendly, knowledgeable and interested in helping their customers - what more could you ask? It is no surprise that the store has what seems to be a very large and loyal group of 'regulars'.

great! my favorite local comic book store. The guys are friendly, helpful and passionate about what they do. It's usually easy to find what you're looking for, but the staff are happy to help if you can't.

Comics r us while not as large as minotaur on elizabeth st, caters more for the direct comic fan. They only really carry the basics when it comes to collecting (e.g. comics, action figures, graphic novels).
With them catering for the comic collector you dont have to make your way through various different sections to get to the comics(as per say minotaur).
Every time i enter the store the staff are always talking about comic books and the movies based on them.

Specialising in all types of comics, the staff are very knowledgeable about their field. They also have a good selection of action figures and other collectables. The staff are quite friendly, and if you are lucky you might even overhear an interesting conversation about the latest comic-book movie - truly nerd-worthy! Located on bourke street up from target, down and alley and up some stairs - look out for the sign because you could miss it!
