I always go to Cinema Nova for arthouse flicks. Great little cinemas, cool candy bar and discounted parking if you show your movie ticket on the way out (though we usually end up outside the '2 hours free' period and have to pay). I have, on occasion, found the ticket staff somewhat rude but overall we always enjoy our movie experiences here. As long as they keep showing the excellent selection of films they do I will keep going back.

My favourite cinema in Melbourne. Its got a great range of films, excellent snack bar choices and a excellent location for a meal before or after a film.

Great arthouse cinema, with the latest "smaller budget" releases and pretty central to everything. If you join as a member you get about $5 off the price of your ticket. Definitely worthwhile
