Very friendly staff and a great hospital with plenty of useful amenities and food/gift stores. There's lots of things for your kids to do and see so it takes their mind off whatever they happen to be there for. Generally when you have an appointment with one of the doctors they are very quick to see you and explain things very well.

My son was admitted here at 3 weeks old for whooping cough back in 2011. As first time parents, it was a very emotional and trying time for my husband and I. The staff, in particular, the nurses and doctors that we dealt with were fantastic. They were very sympathetic, understanding and ready and willing to answer all of our questions. The nurses and volunteers also made sure that I gave myself a break to refresh and grab something to eat, which I was thankful for.

We practically lived in my son's room there during this time, I had the pull out sofa bed to rest in at night next to my son and the nurses also offered the parent room for my husband to stay in overnight, as he would come to the hospital straight from work in the evenings and go to work from the hospital in the mornings.

I just want to congratulate the hospital for a job well done and to keep up their great work with these wonderful children.

Both of my girls have had issues since birth, Westmead Childrens hospital has been fantastic in assisting us with our many hurdles/appointments and bumps along the way.

With my first daughter we spent much time in the hospital with so much going on. The nurses and Doctors, everyone are fantastic. You can ask any question they will help you and make your appointments etc.

We have been long time visitors of the hospital for all sorts of treatmtents. And have had great service all the time.

I wish the Parent room was around when my first daughter needed treatment (2004) its great, you can take a break away for a refresh and catch up on life.

The volunteers are friendly and happy to help.

The cafeteria is great, food is fresh and cheap.

The coffee store in foyer is great and service is friendly.

The after hours service is great too, the nurses/doctors are very understanding and accomodating.

The outdoor area downstairs is peaceful and the playarea is great too.

Keep up the great work !!

My daughter was admitted to this hospital for treatment of pneumonia for a week and was given very good treatment, her own room and a spare bed for me to stay with her at night. The staff were friendly, pleasant and made her stay more comfortable although it was a trying time for us initially.

I remember this hospital. It was a comfortable place to stay, and the nurses were friendly. A clown came to visit once.
