This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. This place is always busy and have lines of people waiting outside all the time.

The restaurant setting follows today's trend of modern restaurants where all kitchen works are shown to customers through glass. It's one of the attraction and it also ensures that their foods are freshly made in the hygienic kitchen environment. The service is spectacular: Customers will be greeted by all staff when seated, if you hang your jackets on the chair they will put a chair cover on it (to make sure no food spills on it i guess).

Food quality and presentation is great. i guess you need to know which ones are their famous dishes, as some may be so so. I recommended the following: handmade noodles with finely sliced beef shin in spicy red soup, shanghainese style cold noodle salad in sesame sauce, three eggs fried rice, pork ribs, and the piggy face bun.

I should admit it's a bit overpriced for the amount of food served. But it's worth trying!

Approximate cost: $17

This place is really packed and squishy. Although the food has good presentation, the taste is below expectation. The tables are big - some people might like this because it gives plenty of room to put the food on, but I didn't like it because you have to raise your voice just to talk to the person sitting opposite you.
