I have had a meal at the Chatswood Hills Tavern and always have been happy with the exception of today.
I ordered the steak sandwich, on the menu it stated " the best ever" and it was far from it. The meat was so tough I asked for a steak knife. A chain saw would have been the right tool. My wife had Budah bowl with squid topper. $6.00 for the squid .... 3 only squid rings, what a rip off $2.00 each The budah bowl was flavorless.
VERY DISAPOINTED

We came to dine at this tavern after receiving a shop a docket. We were very pleased with our meals and the customer service we received at this hotel. Our meals were lovely, well presented and delicious as well. Our son had a pasta meal and there was just enough sauce on his meal not to cover him in sauce as we usually find with some children's meals that are served. We both had a chicken meal and found there was just enough sauce on our meals as well so as to not drown our chicken and take over the flavor of our meals. We had our son with us for dinner and a staff member did tell him that he wasn't allowed in the gaming area of the hotel which was next to the dining area. It would be great if they had a sign telling people of this otherwise our dining experience was great. Well Done.

The Chatty, used to be my drinking hole and had Tues & Thurs specials too boot. The Steak is top class but at a pub price, the fries are top class as well. If your down that way, drop in, you won't be dissapointed!

dining is nothing to rave about, beers are cold and on a good day the service can be pretty good, all in all if you're not in with the locals or a mad pokie fiend there's not much to offer

Well cooked meat to liking. Friendly staff and limited wait but not hurrying you out the door, you have the sports bar, pokies and regular poker nights.

Approximate cost: $20
