I visited this winery purely to get some of their lovely Barossa Tower Moscato wine. I waited patiently while a bus of tourists finished their tasting experience, but once they had cleared out and I had approached the counter it was a good 10minutes before I was served. I felt quite ignored, they didn't even acknowledge me being there. The moscato is very nice, if not slightly more expensive than other brands, but I am willing to pay more for something I really like. But the customer service left the experience not so nice.

Approximate cost: $16

Even if you don't drink wine it's worth while stopping at Chateau Tanunda to take in the lovely gardens (such as the Sunken Garden), the croquet field, the cricket pitch and the lovely Chateau itself. It's a nice place to stop and take a break. They have knowledgeable and friendly cellar door staff as well as tours and the ability to purchase a picnic basket. I will stop in again

Wines were exceptionally good. The cellar sales had everything from inexpensive to very expensive, but we found even the cheap wine to by exceptionally good. By far our favorite winery in Australia
