We went in a group with vouchers from OutInCanberra.

The service was painfully slow. It was 'tapas' and one small serve would come out literally every 30-40 minutes. The food was ok but nowhere near good enough to justify that kind of thing. Everyone was hungry, they didn't provide all the dishes the voucher offered even after we showed them, and it was just a hugely disappointing night.

Also, we were seated next to a very loud speaker that they refused to lower to volume of, which was just unpleasant.

We would never go back or recommend them to anyone!

The food was ok... the service was kinda slow, at least they refunded our money when we left. it seemed a little busy so might hve just been a bad day.

The best things about my experience here were the good selection of Italian cafe style foods, which were of reasonable quality, and the jazz band playing live. This made for a memorable Sunday afternoon, especially as it was cold outside and toasty inside.

We have visited Charlie Black on many occasions - for a private drink for two and a large function. The staff are impeccable for Canberra and the mood is always casual but refined

Very nice atmosphere, great friendly service, drinks are slightly expensive but not over the top, nice place for a quiet afternoon drink and a bite to eat.

This is a new bar on the site of the old Pangea restaurant. The atmostphere is very mellow and pleasant with polished wooden floors, nice music and eclectic furniture. The surprise is the bar food, simple but very good and very reasonably priced for Manuka. The rabbit pie is excellent and the burger is outstanding, all at 'pub prices'. Highly recommended.
