I called into this café for a light breakfast of toast and coffee, I couldn't believe what I received, the 2 slices of toast were HUGE, and it also came with some very yummy rhubarb jam, and the coffee tasted very nice and it was a pleasure to be able to read the morning paper while having my breakfast 10/10

Best place to go for breakfast. Food is delicious and there’s plenty of it. The staff are efficient and friendly.

I have been here 3 times, first two times were great! Really nice staff and nice food. Third time I had 'The Burger' and unfortunately it was undercooked and pink. I didn't make fuss just asked for a new one and it took a long time and the staff didn't seem sorry about it. Id probably go back though :)

Everyone I know had been raving about this place so I was dying to try it. As we arrived, I eye other diners’ meals and they looked fantastic! The first thing that caught my eye was the “No Variations” on the menu. This really annoys me when I see this because as a paying customer if I want to remove something from the meal I am paying for, I should be able to. I do understand that kitchens can’t make huge or numerous variations, but variations within reason should always be allowed to paying customers. So I thought it couldn’t hurt to at least ask. I was dying to try the burger I had heard so much about but I asked if I could have it without the relish because I can’t eat anything with tomato for medical reasons. I figured surely this won’t be a problem, how hard is it to just not put some relish on as you’re assembling the burger? Well harder than one would imagine. The waitress informed me that she can note my request but, and I quote, “it depends on the Chef’s mood if he does it or not”. I explained that it was a medical thing and I needed to know because if the burger came with relish on it then I couldn’t eat it. She said she would be sure to let him know. The burger arrived and it looked so, so good. Until I saw the relish. I called the waitress back and told her there was relish on my burger and her suggestion was to scrape it off. It was at that point we got up and left. Service like this is absolutely unacceptable. And it’s a real shame because the food looked lovely but I am fussy about where I spend my hard-earned money and I will never again return to this place after appalling service like that.

Chapter too is one of those local cafes that will never disappoint. Every meal is tasty and well presented. Slightly more expensive than a few of their neighbours but they are consistent. They have great coffee too!

coffee is pretty good, bit expensive, but i think anything over 4.20 for a medium is expensive for a warm drink. food is nice, some stuff is a bit pricey but not too crazy, for what you get its worth it, better than the other cafe down the road in my opinion. me and my partner often get the shared breaky its about 35 i think or so, but you are both always full after so thats good vaulue id say.

This is a great little cafe - the coffee is pretty good and the atmosphere is warm. The only downside is that the food is pretty expensive for a Heathmont cafe. Inner city prices for a suburban cafe is a bit much.

Absolutely fantastic little restaurant for group tapas meals. Brilliant food, really friendly staff and good value. The vibe and ambiance is worth the trip from anywhere to visit this gem.

The best hot chocolate in town! And the food? Bloody brilliant. A great range of dishes and the breakfasts are delish!! THe corn fritters can't be missed and the Veggie Delight is a great dish: not too filling, but lots of flavour. The lunch and dinner menus are also fantastic. However, dinner is only on Fridays and Saturdays. A shame as the tapas is really good. On the down side, service although friendly, can sometimes be pretty slow. But a great local hangout!!

I agree, service is very friendly, but has taken a while for food on occasion. Food is amazing though, so that makes up for it.

I have been here twice now and on both occasions the food has been nothing short of excellent. They have the best tasting chips i have ever had in my life, both times i've had them they have been stunningly good. The iced coffees are great, the burger is fantastic but has a herb which isn't my friend. There are many other fantastic meals on the menu. However the first time i went, i ordered a burger well done, and when it was delivered with a few others our table had ordered, we asked which one was well done and they said 'the chef was never told you wanted any of them well done' even though it was mentioned at least two times to the waitress. Second time we went, it was 11:50am and we wanted some lunch and we were in a little bit of a hurry. We were told since it wasn't mid day yet we couldn't order anything but breakfast. Even when the waitress said she'd go see if the chefs could put it through early, they declined. This was a little ridiculous since there were what looked like several chefs in there, and the restaurant was far from even being half full.

Overall however it is a restaurant which serves fantastic food, but expect to pay for it.
